Japanese Garden, Durban Overview

The Japanese Garden is a small, beautiful public garden in Durban North, featuring lily ponds and meandering walkways. The paths are lined by bamboo trees, reeds and Japanese blossoms. Arching bridges provide views of Japanese Koi Carp in the ponds and a good vantage point to observe water birds such as ducks, geese and storks.

With minimalist infrastructure, there is plenty of space among the rich landscape for picnics and other recreational activities, including a playground for children. Usually, a quiet and peaceful place, the garden gets its peak rush during weekends and public holidays.
