Trinity College Dublin

Trinity College is a university located in College Green in Dublin. This is Ireland’s most prestigious university and a notable tourist attraction. The two most popular spots are the Long Room inside the Old Library and the Book of Kells. The campus is peppered with elegant Georgian and Victorian buildings.

There is a library and various galleries and exhibitions inside the college. The Book of Kells is a massive, illuminated Gospel book of the 9th century, written entirely in Latin and 680 pages long. It is placed inside the Old Library, where you will also want to see the Long Room. The room is filled with columns of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and is one of the most photographed rooms in Dublin. You can also visit the National Science Gallery and the Douglas Hyde Gallery, an art gallery. Trinity College was established in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth 1 and has produced some exceptional alumni, such as Isaac Newton, J. J. Thomson and Jawaharlal Nehru. You can easily reach the college via bus or train.
