The Book of Kells and the Old Library Exhibition, Dublin Overview

The Book of Kells and the Old Library Exhibition is situated inside Trinity College in Dublin. The Book of Kells is an ancient 9th-century manuscript and is one of Ireland’s most cherished cultural treasures. It is displayed in an exhibition.

The Book of Kells describes the four Gospels of the life of Jesus Christ. Every page of the book is wonderfully illustrated, and the book is written entirely in Latin. Along with the book, the Long Room is also a part of the exhibition. This room is one of the most photographed rooms in Dublin and has a cluster of old, leather-bound books. A glimpse of this book is a part of the exhibition. You will also get to see the Long Room in the Old Library. The room has columns of magnanimous bookshelves filled with 200,000 rare, antique books. One of the last copies of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic, read by Pádraig Pearse in 1916 at the beginning of the Easter Rising, is also on display. Lastly, you’ll get to see the Trinity College Harp, a model for the Guinness logo and the flag of the Irish president. You can reach the college via bus or train and then walk to the exhibit.
