Killiney, Dublin Overview

Killiney is a coastal suburb located on the outskirts of Dublin in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. It is a beautiful place teeming with natural attractions. The popular spots here include Killiney Hill, Killiney Beach and parks like Sorrento and Dillon’s Park. This is the perfect destination if you love the outdoors and nature.

The most popular spot here is Killiney Hill Park. You can hike up to the top of the hill and see historical monuments like obelisks and pyramids from Victorian and Medieval times. You’ll also get a glimpse of a spectacular sunset in the evening. Unlike the stereotypical white sand beaches, Killiney Beach is rocky and lined with pebbles. It is an excellent spot to relax. There are many beautiful views at Sorrento Park and Dillon’s Park, where you can enjoy a peaceful time. Another scenic spot nearby would be the Vico Baths. The waters here are known to be very chilly, although you can take a dip inside if you’re brave enough. If you fancy 18th-century architecture, you cannot miss the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. It also has accommodation facilities so you can also stay here.
