Six Flags Great America, Chicago Overview
Six Flags Great America is one of the top-rated amusement parks in North America and consists of seventeen roller coasters and a water park. This park should not be confused with Six Flags America of Maryland and Washington. It was previously known as Marriott's Great America. Situated in Gurnee, Illinois, and about 45 miles from Downtown Chicago, it is divided into nine different themed areas. Some of the rides within are American Eagle, BATMAN – The Ride, Columbia Carousel, Goliath, SUPERMAN- Ultimate Flight, and many more.
