National Veterans Art Museum, Chicago Overview

National Veterans Art Museum, formerly also known as the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum was formed in 1981 to display and study art produced by veterans from the Vietnam War and other wars and conflicts. The museum aspires to instill an understanding of the impact of war via the means of art created by the veterans, preserving it and presenting it in exhibits. It houses nearly 2,500 art pieces contributed by more than 250 artists from around the world.
