Rhoda Island, Cairo Overview
Situated along the Nile in Central Cairo, Rhoda Island is a mix of the Al-Manyal palace museums and green gardens. Its southern tip holds the Roda Island Nilometer, first built in AD 715 to measure the annual Nile flood and rebuilt in AD 861, and the Manasterly Palace of 1851.
