Kenchosum Lhakhang, Bumthang Overview

Kenchosum Lhakhang, south of Tamshing Lhakhang, traces its founding to the 8th century, with Pema Lingpa credited as the source of that history. A fire destroyed the original structure in February 2010; the temple was rebuilt and reconsecrated in 2014, so what stands today is a modern building on an ancient, revered site. Its statues and paintings of Buddhist gurus remain the main draw.
