Dedduwa Lake is located to the east of Bentota and is widely known for its beautiful water bodies, marshy lands and the Deduwa Lake. Several boat houses and villas allow visitors to sit back and relax in this peaceful and serene destination.
Dedduwa lake is surrounded by beautiful gardens that are well maintained by the Geoffrey Bawa Trust and is also known as Lunuganga. These gardens were fashioned out of two plantations, one of rubber and other of cinnamon.
Guest can enjoy the beauty of these gardens, take long walks or even go about a guided tour across the area that explains the rich history of the place. The tours run in batches in the morning and afternoon. Dedduwa Lake is a dream come true for people fascinated by architecture and sprawls across an area over 15 hectares. The water bodies also offer exciting water activities for guests like swimming and boating.
