PapiermÙhle is a Paper Mill museum in Basel. This is an old paper mill that today shows you how real paper is made.
The Paper Mill Museum is located on an old canal. It has an intact waterwheel and even fully working machines that show you how handmade paper is produced, how the art of printing really came to be and how books are bound. There are also exhibits that show you how the primitives used to communicate in the form of pictographs and other exhibits on modern ways of typing.
