Karaalioglu Park runs along a clifftop in the Kilicarslan district, with views over the Mediterranean and the Beydaglari mountains from its garden paths and fountains. It's a short walk from Kaleici and the harbour, making it an easy add-on rather than a separate trip.
The 2nd-century-BC Roman Hidirlik Tower stands at the park's western edge, and the grounds also hold a Don Quixote statue, frog and hand sculptures, and a monument to poet Nazim Hikmet. A few snack and coffee stalls sit near the entrance, and a path leads straight down to the harbour.
