Saint Theodore Lighthouse, Argostoli Overview
One of the famous landmarks, Saint Theodore Lighthouse, also known as Fanari, is a circular structure that stands tall at 8 meters with 20 columns. It was built in 1828 by a British administrator as a development project to improve Kefalonia. The lighthouse is still functional and offers a stunning area view, especially at night.
While the earthquake of 1953 destroyed the lighthouse, it was again restructured to its former design by a local architect in the 1960s.
