We recently completed the Golden Triangle tour and had a fantastic experience. T (Read More)he highlight of our trip was the impeccable planning by Mr. Narendra; everything was organized to perfection, allowing us to visit all the major sites with ease. Our drivers deserve a special mention—they were incredibly patient and attentive to our needs. Most importantly, they prioritized our safety, navigating through zero-visibility fog with total professionalism. The trip itself is a must-do. From the Red Fort and Taj Mahal to Fatehpur Sikri and the stunning forts in Jaipur and Ajmer, every location was breathtaking. The travel between cities was very comfortable as the majority of the route stays on well-maintained highways. Highly recommended!

Nothing much.. just the Lunch places to be changed in the trip , as most of thos (Read More)e locations are very over priced.

I’m had originally planned to drive a package tour but was referred to Offbeat I (Read More)ndia Tours via Holidify. Prakash and the team worked with me to develop a personalised itinerary including car transport, hotels and tour guides across 16 days which we were able to iterate until we designed do the perfect itinerary. Importantly the final price including 5 Star accommodation was incredibly competitive and significantly below the price of similar itineraries with larger group tour operators. In addition we had a driver, Monu , who was absolutely exceptional and made each days drive between each of our destinations both safe, engaging and enjoyable Definitely an Agency to place high on your list

Nothing particularly

July to September is monsoon, when the Taj Mahal glistens under cloudy skies, offering fewer crowds and a romantic setting.

FAQs on Agra Tour Packages

Can we visit Taj Mahal at night?

Yes, you can visit the Taj Mahal at night on specific nights during the month, except for Fridays and during the month of Ramadan. The night viewings, known as "Night Viewing of Taj Mahal," are a special experience where the monument is beautifully illuminated, creating a magical ambiance. However, night visits are only allowed for a limited time and are tightly regulated. You must book your tickets in advance through the official website or in person at the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) office in Agra.

Is Taj Mahal closed on some certain days?

Yes, the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, is closed to visitors every Friday. This weekly closure is for routine maintenance and prayer purposes. It's important to plan your visit accordingly to avoid scheduling it on a Friday. The Taj Mahal is open to tourists on all other days of the week. However, it's always a good idea to double-check the opening hours and any temporary closures before your visit, as schedules can change due to special events or government decisions.

Do we need ID proof to visit the Taj Mahal?

Yes, you must carry your photo ID issued by government authorities, along with a printed confirmation of your e-ticket at the entrance gate.

Is Taj Mahal entry free?

No. Taj Mahal entry is not free except for kids below 15 years of age. Here is the fee structure:

Indian Visitors: INR 50 on weekdays (except Friday); CLOSED on Fridays
Foreigners/NRI: INR 1100 on weekdays (except Friday); CLOSED on Fridays
SAARC/BIMSTEC Visitors: INR 540 (after visiting the Taj Mahal) on weekdays (except Friday); CLOSED on Fridays.

How many days are enough in Agra?

1-2 days are ideal for a visit to Agra. This includes a tour of the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Metab Bagh, Moti Masjid, Jahangir Palace, Jama Masjid, Chini ka Rauza, Itimad-ud-Daulah etc., and nearby Fatehpur Sikri.

What is the best time to visit Taj Mahal?

The best time to visit the Taj Mahal is during the winter season, i.e. between October and March. Although, tourists can avoid the cold months of January and February, as the weather during these months is foggy. Tourists that are a fan of the summers can visit the Taj Mahal between April and September. Summers are the peak season for tourists in Agra. During summers, tourists can plan their visit to the Taj Mahal early in the morning to avoid the crowd and extreme heat.

Which destinations are usually travelled together with Agra?

Agra, home to the iconic Taj Mahal, is often combined with other destinations in India to create a memorable travel experience. Delhi, the bustling capital city, is a natural addition to an Agra trip, offering a mix of historical landmarks and modern attractions. Jaipur, the vibrant "Pink City" of Rajasthan, is another popular destination frequently traveled together with Agra and Delhi, forming the famous Golden Triangle circuit. Jaipur is known for its majestic forts, palaces, and colorful markets. Additionally, travelers often combine Agra with destinations like Ranthambore National Park for wildlife safaris or with Varanasi for a spiritual and cultural experience along the River Ganges. These combinations provide a diverse and enriching journey, showcasing India's rich history, culture, and natural beauty.
