What's Not Good: We did face a small hiccup with the car during the trip, but the driver and team were quick to respond and sorted it out within a few hours
One of the main attractions of this beautiful hill station is its cluster of seven lakes; Naini Lake is a natural fresh body lake located in the centre of Nainital and surrounded by seven peaks and coniferous trees. A beautiful and serene location that once appealed to the Britishers, it is excellent for boating, picnicking, walking and nature photography and is also the site of the Naini Devi Temple.
Though Nainital has pleasant weather, the months of May and June make for the peak season, free of heavy rains. With its location amidst the Himalayas, the town has several viewpoints like Snow View Point. You can catch glimpses of the snow-clad Himalayas and board the Nainital Ropeway and Cheena Peak, which offers views of the Nanda Devi Peak and Tibet border.
Nainital tour packages are a great way to experience the town's colonial past. They include visits to buildings like the Gothic-style Governor's House or Raj Bhawan, St. John Wilderness Church, the oldest in the city and Gurney House, the former home of Jim Corbett and now a museum.
