Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Moshi - Leisure Day
  • Arrive in Moshi at any time.
  • You will be greeted with a private transfer to your hotel.
  • Check-in and unwind at Stella Maris Lodge (or similar).
  • Have dinner in the evening and spend overnight.
  • After breakfast in Moshi, start the Kilimanjaro journey.
  • Private transport takes you to Machame Gate (2,200 meters) for permits and registration.
  • Trek through the rainforest zone, which can be muddy if it rains.
  • Keep an eye out for wildlife.
  • Enjoy a packed lunch along the way.
  • Arrive at Machame Camp (2,780 meters) after a 6-kilometer trek (3-4 hours).
  • Settle in, have dinner, and rest for the next day.
  • After breakfast at Machame Camp, we continue our trek.
  • Today's route takes us through lower alpine moorlands.
  • Enjoy captivating views of Kibo Peak along the way.
  • Cover a distance of approximately 5 kilometres in 5-6 hours.
  • Take a break for packed lunch prepared by our team.
  • Arrive at Shira 2 Camp (3,900 meters) and settle in.
  • Dinner is served, and it's time to rest for the night.
  • Begin the day with breakfast at Shira 2 Camp (3,900 meters).
  • Trek to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower.
  • Enjoy views of the Western Breach and the Breach Wall along the way.
  • Lunch will be provided during the trek.
  • Cover a distance of approximately 7 kilometers in about 6-7 hours.
  • Arrive at Barranco Camp (3,960 meters) for dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast at Barranco Camp (3,960 meters), you'll set off for Barafu Camp, your last base before the summit.
  • Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to view the Great Barranco Wall and ascend the eastern wall, passing below the Helm Glacier.
  • Lunch will be served during the trek.
  • This segment covers a distance of about 9 kilometers and typically takes 6-7 hours.
  • As you reach Barafu Camp (4,640 meters), your crew will prepare dinner for you.
  • Barafu Camp is the final point with a water source, so make sure to rest and hydrate adequately for the upcoming summit attempt.
  • This is the big day, your summit day, which begins at midnight.
  • Ascent from Barafu Camp (4,640 meters) to Stella Point and Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters).
  • As you reach the summit, you'll be greeted by a stunning sunrise.
  • You'll begin your descent back to Barafu Camp for a short rest.
  • Following this, the trek continues to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters), where you'll have breakfast and lunch along the way.
  • Dinner will be served at Mweka Camp as you celebrate your successful summit and prepare for a well-deserved rest.
  • After breakfast at Mweka Camp, begin your descent through the lush tropical rainforest.
  • Enjoy a packed lunch during your trek down from the mountain.
  • Trek from Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) to Mweka Gate (1,650 meters).
  • The trek covers a distance of approximately 12 kilometres and takes about 4-5 hours.
  • On reaching Mweka Gate, receive your commemorative certificate.
  • Our vehicle will be ready to transfer you to your Moshi hotel.
  • Check-in at the hotel and have dinner.
  • Bid farewell to the Kilimanjaro adventure and relax in Moshi.
  • Start your day with breakfast at your Moshi hotel.
  • Catch a flight to Zanzibar, where you'll be transferred to your chosen Stone Town hotel.
  • Take a guided stroll through the historic streets of Stone Town with your experienced guide.
  • For lunch, you have the freedom to choose from Stone Town's restaurants (at your own expense).
  • Explore significant sites like the Old Slave Market, House of Wonders, and Palace Museum (entrance fees are optional and can be purchased on-site).
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Start your morning with breakfast at your hotel.
  • Embark on a guided tour of a local spice plantation to discover the various spices cultivated in Zanzibar.
  • Following your spice adventure, you'll have the option to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Zanzibar (at your own expense).
  • After lunch, head to Nungwi Beach to spend the afternoon at leisure on the shore.
  • You have opt to explore the nightlife through its vibrant beachfront bars and local music.
  • Alternatively, you can head back to your hotel and spend the night.
  • Start your day with breakfast at the hotel.
  • Explore the enchanting Jozani Forest, the habitat of the Zanzibar red colobus monkey.
  • Take a stroll along the scenic mangroves boardwalk.
  • Enjoy a delicious Zanzibari cuisine at a local restaurant (cost not included).
