Uncomfortable and unsatisfactory

The property is located riverside but the 2023 floods have totally destroyed its beauty as was shown in these pictures on booking.com

The local people who lived near the property completely took over its amenities be it bathrooms,balconies and common room. These guys had no courtesy of the guests staying and were drinking and smoking in the common room rendering it very uncomfortable for the guests and travellers They also used the bathroom and left it dirty and unhygienic Hot water is not available during the day due to voltage issues

The location

Kasol is a cold place, the hostel has no hot water. My room's window didn't close, the room was extremely cold. The staff, for the most part, is nowhere to be found. Drinking water is empty most of the time. The hostel doesn't even provide clean towels, soap or shampoo. It's really one of the worst places I've stayed.

Location, people and food

The toilet didn't have a waste bin. There was no hot water due to power cuts. Due to holiday season I had to pay three times more and from what I understood from other travellers was it would have been much cheaper if I had booked it directly at the site

Overall, the lack of cleanliness, unaddressed concerns by management, absence of basic amenities.

I was delighted to discover that my room offered a fantastic location.

I recently booked a dormitory for my wife and myself, but the experience fell far below expectations. Cleanliness Concerns: The dormitory and washroom were poorly maintained, not cleaned during our stay, significantly affecting comfort. Management Response: Lack of prompt action from hotel management despite raising concerns was disappointing. Inconveniences: No hot water availability and a persistent absence of basic amenities like common drinking water were major inconveniences. Pricing Discrepancy: Paying a substantial amount for a shared dormitory with such poor conditions while others paid significantly less for better rooms felt unjustified. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, unaddressed concerns by management, absence of basic amenities, and the significant price disparity made our stay highly disappointing.

A great place to chill.

I went on a solo trip here not knowing what to expect. As soon as I reached Chalal, I was mesmerised by the stunning view, the peace, the people, and the hospitality around. Wabi Sabi did play an important role in my trip. Carol and Shruti were very accommodating and helpful, theyre an important part of the Wabi Sabi experience. All in all it was a wonderful stay, great rooms, amazing people, good food, and great connectivity.

That I couldnt stay there for longer :(

There was nothing to like. The worst experience I had so far through Booking.com.

The staffs did not have proper information. Everything was very unclean. The worst part was the electricity .... It was fluctuating all the time .... most of the time being low voltage. Not at all recommended at least for the winter.
