What a disaster!

The first thing you see when you drive into this hotel is linen hanging up to dry. While the rooms were fine, the linen was dirty (yellow stains). We arrived around lunch time and the place was completely empty. In spite of this our lunch took one hour to arrive! We were initially planning on eating dinner out, but foolishly decided around 19:00 to stay in the hotel as the staff had got a fire on and it was nice and cozy in the room. This was a big mistake. The evening that followed was comical to say the least. There were two other families including us waiting for dinner (10 of us in total). We all placed our dinner orders at 19:00. By 20:30 the guests were banging on the kitchen door wondering how long the food would take. What arrived from the kitchen was mediocre to awful (my husbands meat curry was inedible). There was a young Indian couple who had ordered pasta with pesto. It took the kitchen two hours to inform them that there wasnt any pesto. They then ordered boiled eggs which took another one hour to arrive. We discovered then that the hotel was woefully understaffed and that the hotel manager Ms. Geetha had taken Diwali holidays along with half the staff. Ive stayed in Neemrana resorts before and this resort doesnt live up to the Neemrana standards. Im happy to discuss this in further detail.

Disappointing

Disappointing Homestay

The Main hall promised a rustic and homestay like experience.

The Room was very ok. The Geyser took 30 mins to heat up and only one bucket would be filled. At this rate, our family had to take one and a half hours to get ready! But the worst was the service. Despite ringing for service multiple times, no one came.

Exceptional

Wonderful.

The Wallwood Garden is centrally located . It's walking distance from Sims Park. The property is beautifully maintained. The staff is warm & very helpful. Its nice & peaceful at The Wallwood Garden. The travel to & from Ooty , the airport drop was all beautifully arranged by Robin. I would love to go back to The Wallwood Garden sometime soon .

Reliving the Raj

The antiquity of the house. 1830s built by a British officer. Still in quite good shape. Great bedroom with direct access to lovely garden. Nice dining room and great food. Mgr very helpful in arranging access to key sights

It was a bit weird being the only guest but I had a lot of attention

It's an old well maintained bungalow on the main road close to all attractions it was all good

Even though u maintain the royal status of old British bungalow bath rooms can be made a bit modern with new bathroom fittings rest all good

Exceptional

The staff were exceptional. The Manager Gita is a very warm lady and was so welcoming to us. Robin was an exceptional staff member where nothing was too much trouble for him and looked after us in a caring manner
