The Little Flower estate is our quaint estate garden nestled in the woods of south Coorg, close to the Nagarhole national park/tiger reserve. It is located in south Coorg, 250 kms from Bangalore city. We have twin rooms that can accommodate four to six people. The cottage has a common verandah where you can enjoy a glorious view of the estate. It comes with an equipped outdoor kitchen, pantry, a laundry machine & dryer. The outdoor dining experience and the bonfire with barbecue will linger on.
The space The Little Flower estate is perfect for a laid back weekend or week days too where one might want to ‘work from home’ .
The Airtel tower is close at hand leading to good 4G network.
The bedrooms can comfortably accommodate two guests in each and a third with a bit of squeeze using a mattress on the floor. Both rooms have attached bathrooms.
There are two bedrooms. If you are booked as two guests, yours will be one bedroom and the common verandah. The second room will remain locked. However if you are two guests who want to use both bedrooms, then you may do so by paying an extra INR 500. Then you may use both bedrooms. However, you have to let me know in advance if you want to use both rooms, so we can keep them tidy and ready when you get here.
The common verandah is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee while gazing at the estate.
There are plenty of books if you are in the mood to read.
If you have to work, then you may connect to the WiFi and work away. The WiFi is primarily for mobile devices. If you want to use your laptop please take note that the daily 1.5GB data package can finish faster. If you want to use more data then that can be arranged at an additional cost.
At night the verandah becomes a spot to stare into the estate from a height. The night skies are a stage from this room, especially during the monsoons when the heavy clouds and lightning makes glorious designs in the far off skies.
The estate attracts plenty of colourful birds and butterflies. You will actually wake up to their melodies that begin by 6.00 am and continue till 9.00 am. The mornings make for good timing and fab location for bird watchers and photographers.
Once the sun sets there a different sort of magic in the air where you get to see a number of birds probably returning home. Later into the evening the nocturnal creatures take their turn to make music while the stars actually dance designs in the night sky. Great for night photography as well.
Smoking is allowed in certain open areas.
There are some of our project that are “on-going” in the yard. These include a push pool and a Coffee barn.
Guest access The bonfire and barbecue spaces are located in the open yard area near the paddy fields. In the yard there is a bamboo gazebo to sit around, a space to play badminton, and a sand pit for kids. By the side is a large water tank that is fenced. The tank contains fish and a number of ducks.
There is a portable sound system with Bluetooth if you want music along with your bon fire in the evenings.
There are available two bicycles and a cycling/walking trail that is carved out all around the fields. You may trail through the estate and fields and get enough fresh air into your lungs before you help yourself to a happy breakfast.
No littering, kindly make sure to use the dustbins in the cottage and estate surroundings.
You may help yourself to the books that in the cottage. Kindly make sure that you return these books in the same condition.
Hot water flasks are available upon request.
The outdoor kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a kettle, a blender, and a gas stove along with utensils. If you wish to use the kitchen to cook, you may do so for a cover charge of 500 INR per day.
This is an estate home, and there aren’t any restaurants within 13kms radius. Not to worry, we organize your breakfast, lunch and dinner. However you must let me know your meal requirements at least a day in advance before you arrive, for us to arrange for the same. We will not be able to cater to last minute meal requirements.
Breakfast is complimentary.
Lunch/ dinner can be arranged for INR 250 and INR 350 for veg/non-veg respectively. It is necessary to specify your requirements when you make your booking.
Non–Veg includes pork/chicken .
Breakfast contains egg curry with local rice items such as appams/papputtu/dosa/ idli. It is served along with home grown filter coffee and fruits of the season.
Barbecue and bon fire is available on request. Barbecue includes chicken, pork or vegetarian.
Surveillance on the property: For your own safety we have CCTvs
The washing machine can be used for a charge of INR 200 per cycle of washing. The dryer can be used for a charge of INR 250 per cycle of drying. Please bear in mind that the dryer can only accommodate a load of 3 kgs at a time.
