Food was so poor. No self kitchen place to make your food or reheat any food. No place to even make your own coffee or make hot water. Not a place for family. Swipe cards are so stressful.

Friendly, comfortable, good location.
The guy who checked us in was so nice. We checked in at about 1:30am. Comfortable bed and duvet, en-suite bathroom with hand soap, quiet room even though it looked over a busy road.
Shelf above bed could be bigger. It couldnt properly hold my mobile which then fell on me in the night and gave me a black eye!

Largely it was fantastic to say.
The staff member who first attended to me asked me a question i felt was unnecessary and unfortunate! She asked if my address on the check in form was correct and i responded affirmative and to my surprise, she further asked if you living in Brighton as indicated by the address then why are you coming rest in this facility? I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed following this question. I don't really know if that is how she has been trained to receive gusts in this amazing facility. I did not expect such a question from her, to say the least.
I was very much happy with the other staff members i met later on, they were so professional and very helpful. Two of them were males on night duty and the other one was a lady who was seen at the reception after i was attended. These two gentlemen assisted me to get my phone back from my room after leaving the room access card with my roommate in the room.

YHA Brighton
Quite a funny hotel - very central & close to Brighton beach! It is a youth hostel though, don't forget that, even when staying in individual rooms. Good facilities and bus connections nearby.
