The YHA South Downs has a beautiful cafe with stunning views and a nice garden to relax in. Accessible by train, with Southease station just a three-minute walk away, the location offers a peaceful c (Read More)ountryside setting. Guests enjoyed the cafe's menu and friendly service, although some found the bunk bed rooms small without a wardrobe. The shared showers had varying water temperatures, but overall the facilities were clean and comfortable.

Good place to stop for a night

The staff were very kind and welcoming even though I arrived late. The rooms were good size and beds comfortable. Shower rooms clean. Cafe for a chill and food if you want some. Train stations very close by

Warm comfy and very good value for money, we didnt have breakfast in he cafe heard it is excellent.

Our welcome person was very friendly and showed us around and gave us all the information we needed. The POD was warm and comfortable nice kitchen, lounge and shower and toilets all clean and warm and tidy :-)

Maybe a bit more spot lights on the path to the PODS for the winter but no a big problem as I had my torch.

Got some bad news from home, so that didnt make us feel happy.

Staff were very helpful.

Wifi was only available in the common areas.

Great location, comfortable accommoadation, good facilities and super helpful staff.

Location, next to Southease station is really handy (easy travel to Brighton, Lewes, etc). Having free parking so close too was also useful (my friends travelled by public transport, but I drove). There's a big kitchen with everything you need for self catering. The beds are comfortable but they have a vinyl cover and I got very hot in the night. The reception staff were so friendly and amazingly helpful - I can't praise them enough.

The vinyl covered mattresses - although I can understand why.
