Perfect location for a relaxed vacation, breathtaking views

The location, food and the staff was great. It was close to the Ella town area, but also very much separated from the peak crowds. Look out from the 4th floor viewing deck was stunning.

The location was bit of difficult to access from the car due to the heavy climb at the beginning of the climb. Worth mentioning in the description about the access. However the staff helped to bring the vehicle to their car park up in the hills. We were in 3rd floor and right above was the 4th floor restaurant. We got continuous large noises due to moving chairs, tables throughout the day and night.

The hotel was good, food was good, staff were good

The Location, this Hotel is at the top of hill via a very steep series of bends, which get steeper, quite scary ! This is not a hotel for elderly or anyone that has mobility problems There is more mention of where exactly the hotel is and that walking up is an ordeal as it's so steep. There is a shuttle service to drop you to town and pick you up, but the downfall is that it STOPS at 6pm!

Close to the main town up a very steep hill. Beautiful rooftop pool (very cold though!) and lovely views

The walls are paper thin it seems like the people talking in the next door room are in the same room as you. Pounding music from the main strip in Ella until 2am both nights we were there, so it was impossible to sleep.

Great for families! Fabulous views!

Fabulous 360 degree views. Has a pool but the weather wasnt conducive to swimming. Location. Very close to Ella town and station. Staff are friendly. Free shuttle to station and town. Lovely shower with a great view. Hot water. Nice red wine!

Very expensive for what it is. It was raining a lot so I stayed in my room a lot but the power went off every 20-30 minutes or so for a few minutes each time. I understand it was across the whole area so not strictly their fault but guessing they dont have their own generator. I ordered lumprice for dinner and it was not authentic. Chicken was tough and was missing dishes that are traditional to this normally yummy dish. Honestly it felt like it had just been reheated in a microwave. Many families with young children who run around the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast. I had an amazing stay in Nine Arches before coming here and I wish I had just gone directly to Kandy or stayed there. But that was also due to the weather being so rubbish. Sorry. I hope you have a different experience to mine.

Painful, frustrating and mostly unpleasant

The staff were friendly and tried to make the best of what was a painful stay commencing with not being able to even get to the hotel in a car. Front desk demonstrated empathy at the hour long plus wait we had to get some milk for our tea from room service.

Room service took forever. Our room's view was highly obstructed by trees despite being told of having a "high floor". The hill to get to the hotel was so high that only a tuk tuk can get there, which is not practical for any family travelling to the hotel that has suit cases. Whatsapp support to help find the hotel initially was not particularly helpful. The hotel knows very well the hotel is on such a hill that most vehicles are unable to climb the hill when it is raining (which is most of the time during the rainy season).
