La Villa Marie Joana

We liked literally everything there! Starting from the house, location to incredible service. The house is well located, about 3mins drive to Le Morne beach. It is equipped with everything you need, has a very modern kitchen, big bedrooms, nice dining area outside and amazing sitting area by the pool to spend the evenings outside. It has a beautiful garden, well sized swimming pool with multiple sunbeds and refreshing jacuzzi. The garden and swimming pool are regularly cleaned and maintained (gardener coming over every 2/3 days). The house and area outside were great. But the service and hospitality from the hosts were even better! Ancy and Lize made our stay in Le Morne unforgettable. They always go above and beyond to make the guests feel special. Ancy is fantastic, very attentive to details, kind and responsive, always willing to help and organize things for her guests. The dinners prepared by Ancy/Lize were the best we had in Mauritius! Fantastic local food, prepared and served with love (+ some local spices :D ). I would have rated our stay in La Villa Marie Joana 12 out of 10 if I could. Thank you Ancy and Lize for making our stay so special! We shall get back to you one day :)

Amazing villa - spacious - sparkling clean and I mean sparkling!! - beautiful - toys for kids, books, baby cot even baby towel , so many towels for adults - swimming pool clean - you have everything you need not only kitchen equipment and facilities, washing machine, dishwasher ect but also absolutely everything like soap, toothpaste provided, sugar, coffee, olive oil, bowl of fruit complimentary, sweets and nuts and even local beer, mineral water, beverages and rum. - area is beautiful and picturesque - from the all villas in the area I liked this one the most from what I have seen around the streets - owner is extremely kind and helpful - much more beautiful than on the pictures - near to many places of interest - villa has absolutely everything it's like you live there Things to have in mind: - You will need a car. Beach and the village are near but not walking distance. There is a restaurant several minutes by walk. The map that booking has is a bit confusing. The property is next to Ma Vie La and villa Talassa and not next to Dinarobin bus station as it shows on booking.com map - too many mosquitos even if you use all kinds of repellents. It was uncomfortable to stay outside in the late evening and also to swim in the swimming pool in the late afternoon. However house was full of anti mosquito repellent provided by the host so this was very considerable and kind. - there is a cleaning lady coming every day in the morning for several hours leaving everything sparkling clean but it's a big house so of course it takes some time. have this in mind. She is also doing the dishwashing if you would like - there are cameras covering external perimeter around the house so this might feel safe for someone and not comfortable for someone else. If this is something that bothers you have it in mind otherwise everything more than great! Villa is a gem, simply amazing!!! Thank you for everything, Ancy!
