Famous dishes are Sancocho (beef and chicken soup), tostones ( fried green plantations), carimanolas (pie stuffed with ground beef ), chicheme (almond and vanilla drink), Panamanian Corn tortilla, hojaldras (fried bread with sprinkled sugar), tamales ( Boiled chicken wrapped in plantain leaves).
