Unprofessional and pathetic support system
Only aim is to get money no sightseeing. Amit and Kamal never bother to support . Drivers will always be late and they don't have any control over them.. driver from their end complaint about golden V (Read More)acations and tours Siliguri planning and hotel they allocate. In-between the guest will lose their peace having gone for a vacation .you will feel like misleading royally. Till the time you make your payment they will be good after that they won't bother to hear you out . Beware

I am surprised to see that they are unaware of my refund. I have been chasing Amit and Manoj for the last 3 years !!!
15200 rupees is the refund pending since 3 years. This was a trip taken during (Read More)covid and due to the problems, lots of services like day trip, food etc were not provided . I understood the scenario and accepted when they said that they will refund once things are normal

Pathetic - Golden Vacation

The agency is worst is multiple ways, only 25% is given below….
1. Product- Hotels provided are not upto the standards and false commitments, they will apologise later saying that is only available. (Read More)We booked for 3star but got pathetic rooms.
2. Communication- They outsource everything to different agencies and do not communicate.
We end up paying for that is committed in the original package. Eg - Parking charges.
The driver provided has no idea of the itinerary and takes his routes as details are not provided by Golden vacations.
3. Extremely rude employees- When you demand the services, they start getting abusive.
This agency has spoiled our complete vacation.
Suggest others travellers prior to booking to think 1000 times before finalising thru this agency.

Worst Experince
We had our trip in Feb 2022, and it was worst to plan it with Golden vaccation. Our plan was for north sikkim but at last moment they changed the plan and sent us to Pelling. The manager Mr. Kamal Pra (Read More)dhan is very rude person and does not even bother to speak well with the visitors. They had sent the vehicle which did not have permit, the driver did not had liecence, the vehicle had pending dues of 45k and we had to wait for more than 2 hrs for the next vehicle to come. Thanks to our luck that the next driver Mr. Devash from sikkim and Mr. Pemba from Darjelling were good people. Would suggest not to go from any travel agencies... visit directly and the local drivers and tour guides are more co-operative than these golden travel agents.... Hotel Sikkim Retreat is very good in Gangtok and Hotel Huma in Darjelling. The staff of both the places are very humble.

1- lachung was closed due to heany snowfall, and things are not in our hands , so was gi (Read More)ven you option to choose,
2- you had not clear your dues on arrival, while booking it was cleared to you,

Sikkim tour March 2022
I had booked Sikkim tour with Golden Vacations in March 2022. It was a wonderful experience for us. All their arrangements were up to the mark. All hotels and transportation arrangements were excellen (Read More)t. However, we feel there is room for improvement in breakfast options, since we sort of got almost similar options in all their hotels. A special thanks to our coordinator Kimshu for making all the arrangements flawless. Also, a shout out to receptionist Diksha at Golden Tashi Gakhil for the warm welcome.

Trip to Darjeeling and Gangtok
I came to know about Golden vacations through Travel Sethu. Com. Our Trip was really amazing. The cabs provided were clean and comfortable allow us to enjoy the trip much more and also the cab drivers (Read More) who took us were polite and humble and most the time they were on time. The room they provided for us at Darjeeling was awesome and their restaurant food was also good. The room given at Sikkim was also quite good except the complementary breakfast given there (Maybe they can prefer other rooms in Gangtok, Sikkim). I especially need to thank Shubham and Kamal our Trip organizers who provided us the correct information at correct times through regular phone calls they never made think about our language difficulties especially Hindi as we were from South India. You can always prefer Golden Vacations without any Hesitation to explore the North East india and other places with a lot happy and joyful memories with your family.

Well I must confess that I enjoyed the whole trip, apart from a wee bit of problems we faced, but I guess we can't expect a trip to perfect right?
Hotels staff and service could have been little bit (Read More)better. Call it bad luck or else we had a water shortage problem on one day and waiting in the dining room for our next chapati to come the other day..View from our POTOLA hotel were worth everything...apart from these two hickups they served us well We totally recommend Mr. Subham Choudhary for your trip...and we couldn't expect everything to go according to our itinerary in covid situation but you sure will have fun

I'd say the overall experience was great, given that every trip is about memories with some hickups of course, ours was no less then that too. We coordinated throughout the trip with Shubham right fro (Read More)m the Star and I must say he was great. Apart from minor hickups he was genuinely very helpful and was available at all times of need. Our itinerary was great which again was sorted by Shubham. All thanks to one and only Mr Shubham Chaudhary whose brains I chewed to customize my itinerary a zillion times- but every time he was most composed and did everything that was asked!
I was travel (Read More)ling with my parents and kids so i repeatedly told him to ensure our cars were in good shape! Everything was delivered and we had the most wonderful experience!
I wanted a luxury leisure trip to chill- the weather, the hotels(Mayfair- Gangtok, Elgin- Darjeeling) were excellent, the staff, drivers - very warm and friendly!!
My parents have been around the world and this was the first trip I took my brother's family, my family and my parents! AND THEY LOVED IT!!
I checked the pricing with other known agents and the difference which Golden Vacation s delivered was unmatchable!

I visited Gangtok Pelling Darjeeling with Golden Vacation Tour And Travel by Subham Choudhary. Really a great experience. The hotel they provided is good with lovely view. They provide Car which was g (Read More)ood. They took us to all the places that are mentioned in their itinerary. We got all we have promised and we are satisfied with the tours services.Mr subham cooperation with us is top quality, be it his arrangements, management, updates of day by day trip.Overall, I would recommend everyone to have a visit with them.

Do not fall in their trap. Worst company ever
Till now had seen many agents and companies that provides travel solution. They are worst of all.
I planned a trip from 11th april to 18th April from Travel setu's lead - Golden tours and travels (Read More)for sikkim and darjeeling.
Day 1: We were told for hotel to hotel transfer, didn't get that hence we have to pay 800(400 for 2 taxi) to reach taxi stand from hotel.
Same day Driver didn't see the car coming and he hit the car to a mountain
Day 2: we were at lachen that was a remote area and lights were not there so we we ask them to kn generator for just an hour so that girls can freshen up they don't have diesel (understandable) they manage diesel somehow and found generator was the issue. (they knew we are going to come before 15 day they also knew electricity is the problem there)
Day 3: we were on a single way mountainous roads and he was driving at like 50-60kms/hr which in that road is very RISKY. Didn't saw innova and slams us to mountain AGAIN.
Day 4: We were on the other side of the valley and a speed as above and BREAKS FAILED and the smashed to the rock (thankfully we were the other side of valley else we would have died). No major injuries but everyone was injured. Stuck there for 2-3 hours
Day 5: again taxi rents 800
Day 6: they said to be ready for Darjeeling transfer at 9:00 AM at 8:30 when we were on the reception calling them, they said Darjeeling has their election today and government orders not to be out from hotels.
And instead of Darjeeling we went peeling
Thankfully last day nothing happened
Ganktok and Darjeeling Trip
First of all each and every family members represent their heartfelt thanks to Golden vacations and tours for the wonderful arrangement entire the trip. The coordinator was very responsive and helped (Read More) us with all our doubts . All the drivers from picked to dropped they have done their job with pleasure and sincere. My special thanks to Mr Bhutia for his politeness and helpful nature. Udaan woodberry hotel & Zambala retreat gave their wonderful welcome and service. Food is very tasty and homely. Nathula what a amazing place and Tsomgo lake is just like Paradise. On the third day as per schedule we have seen the local sightseeing places and saw the beauty of Gangtok through the rope car. On the fourth day we left Gangtok on the way towards Darjeeling we have visited the place Namachi. We got thrilled experience with white water rafting in the river Teesta. On the fifth day we have enjoyed the sunrise at the tiger hills. At Darjeeling from Cable car we saw the beautiful tea Gardens on the hill slopes flowing river and forests. Fantastic experience with toy train also. The journey made un forgettable with an itinerary prepared by he team Golden vacations tours and travels. Once again I thank you the wonderful team.

The 6n/7d gangtok with North sikkim trip to lachen and lachung was well planned and conducted. The cabs and drivers provided were too notch and maintained good decorum. Especially Driver Raju who took (Read More) us to North sikkim was excellent. The stay provided at gangtok in golden crest Hotel was good. However, in lachen and lachung it could have improved. While in lachen, at hotel blue pine, the room provided to us was small, although we were promised super deluxeroom.however, the quality of food in the hotel was excellent and hence we were happy. Overall, Santosh and abishek from golden vacation team did a good job of ensuring a smooth and awesome trip ...

it was the worst experience of my life.. the most uncooperative, irresponsible ppl.. they forgot to take the permit of tsomgo lake.. which was the main tour of their package and told us to visit Gangt (Read More)ok local sites and leave.. they were not even apologetic about that.. frankly speaking dont go with this tour company

Worse tour company to try
I would never ever try this. My parents went to Bhutan via them, and my mother fell from horse in Tiger's nest and they didn't bother instead try fooling my parents to have money from them. I have bee (Read More)n repeatedly writing to them to ask my money back but no response. DONT TRY EVER.

The tour of sikkim and Bhutan was well managed by suchismita and Suraj. The initial coordination done by Ankita and Munna. Driver Arjun has excellent knowledge of the road, driving skills and a good c (Read More)onversationist. We never felt the stress of travelling continuously. Hotels were very good. Only at Lachung good heaters were missing since it was -5° freezing chill.
Suraj and Suchismita were calling us everyday in the evening to get the details of how we spent the day. So nice of them. Keep up your tradition Atitthi devotees bhava.

I (Vinay patidar), visited Gangtok from 9th Feb to 15th Feb 2020. It was a good experience. My trip planning agent was ok but could have been better. During trip I have got very good drivers and vehic (Read More)les were also very good. Pradip and rakesh were there during my trip to take care of everything and they did really good job. Hotels provided to me were good, food was also good.

We can rely on these folks for a hastle free and perfectly organized trip. They will take care of everything. All we need to do is just go with the flow and enjoy the trip.

Trip was all over great. Transportation and Hotel stays were pretty excellent.

Bhutan trip (6days/ 5 nights)
Trip to Thimphu, Paro, Punakha
All the transportation and local guide were on time and extremely nice. All our hotels were very spacious but one thing which we did not get was hot water for shower. Since we travelled in winter, hot (Read More) water shower was very important for us. Our main guide cum driver Kinley Wangchuk was extremely helpful. Wonderfully knowledgeable and went out of his way to make our trip special. I will highly recommend Golden vacation to everyone

Our tour to Bhutan in Jan 2020 was unforgettable. Ever since I started enquiry with Golden Tours Mrs
Deepshana and Mrs suchishmitha clarified all my queries and finalised our as per my choice and ite (Read More)nary.They gave good suggestions including weather conditions required type of dress etc.Good Hotels, Driver and car.Many travellers from India whom I met there were eager to get the details of the trip agency when they heard about the services and cost for the Package. I shared your details (of cource with out your permission) and they noted it for their future plans and also to share it to others who may enquire them. My only unhappiness is that a visit to HAA was not materialised.
I have already made enquiries for my next tour to Assume, meghalaya and Arunachal and hope to book it through you.
Excellent, but few pointers
Excellent service in budget. My husband and I did not have any trouble during the whole tour in Darjeeling and Gangtok. Everything was very well planned and executed. I just want to mention one thing, (Read More) if they can include a cab for local travel like if people want to just visit the nearby market, etc, they can easily visit. They may charge it, but it will really add value to the package they offer.

Hotel room was Excellent hotel service is very nice
Veg food was Excellent
But our problem was we didn't get non veg food except new mandala hotel.
Overall it was good trip and tour package....
Very well organised trip
We had gone to gangtok and Darjelling for 5 days. It was a well organised trip. We had a pleasant time. Drivers had sufficient knowledge about very places and very co-operative. We did river rafting (Read More)in teesta which was a highlight of the trip. Hotels were very good. In Darjeeling we were giving different rooms on alternate days which made us to keep our baggage packed which was little troublesome but other than that hotels were very good with decent veg food. Overall the experience was very good.

Had a wonderful time and enjoyed each day. The services rendered by one of the stafff of golden tours and travel. Name Rahul was extremely excellent and helpfull. Right from pick up from Bagdogra till (Read More) the end ,the transport with the drivers services excellent ,the hotel and staff excellent ,in all everything was well managed by Rahul . Next time i will surely take your services again only and only if Rahul manages the entire tour .because had a bit of bad experience in Gangtok the hotel receptionist arrogantly replied when i asked for room heater,she said we have to pay extra,how can she say such a thing because gangtok has a very chill climate so definitely travellers who come from places wr its hot and humid will definitely need heaters and hotels do provide heaters. As i called Rahul and told him about it he arranged immediately for it. Thanks Rahul ,i was not very pleased by the nature of Pradeep the person who manages travel department in Gangtok had to face a very unpleasant situation in nathula .my husband had to drive back from nathula to gangtok hotel. Its a very very risky drive only trained people can drive in such places. But my husband managed otherwise we would have got strangled there. And god knows what could have happened. With all such experiences we did enjoy our trip. As i said Rahul was very helpful cooperative and understanding.

My experience with the golden vacation was very good. Trip goes very smoothly and hassle free. Because they have managed everything very well.

Gangtok, Lachung and Lachen
We took 6 days package from Nov 29 to Dec 4. Hotels and Car provided were good. First two days went quite well in gangtok.For the next 3 days one driver was allocated for lachung and lachen. He denied (Read More) to show seven sister falls, Tashi view point and Chopta valley which was planned while booking and when we informed the travel operator ,driver got angry and started driving rash for sometime. But still no action was taken to show these places even though we informed the tour operator immediately on the 3rd day morning. Driver was late by 1 hr on both the morning and we were waiting at reception in such a cold weather. We didn't get the Nathula pass permit even though we had submitted the documents in advance , and the reason given by pradeep was we reached late to hotel on first day evening and hence he could not arrange for permit. And on the last day driver took airport parking charges from us. If the plan was shared with driver for day 3 to 5 we could have seen all the places or some action should have been taken to show the missing places on the other day. Overall it was good tour , thanks to Ankita Roy.

Had a really good experience for my tour of sikkim and darjiling for 7d6n.
Tour was well co ordinated, drivers were good soft spoken and was speaking hindi, nepali and understood english. All hotel r (Read More)ooms were clean and hygenic. Food was excellent. Only downside is one must confirm the sites to be seen. If its not in list then they do not agree to add anything. I was ready to cancel local site seeing and add a few during darjiling transfer from gangtok but they denied. Later i had to pay extra to driver for covering those.
In all a very good experience. I will give 4 out of 5.

(Read More)My first experience in my 24 years travel span that a driver provided breakfast to his passengers at his own cost and refused to take money from us on the way from Gangtok to Bagdogra which we will never forget till death. His name his Raju Tamang and we have learnt a lesson from him. Golden Vacation tours & travels have also arranged all permits for North SIKKIM & specially Nathula pass through documents that I have sent online. from Kolkata. TOTAL FRAUD AND CHEATER COMPANY
We booked the tour for Bhutan from GOLDEN VACATION TOURS & TRAVELS. They took all the money from us first and than changed all our hotels, iteneries, places to visit and so on. We also booked 2 innova (Read More)s but they gave us just one dirty Sumo for 11 people along with luggage.
Nobody was taking any responsibilities and just making us fool by saying that they will give best service.
It was the worst experience and even we missed our flight while returning as no cabs came to drop us to bhagdogra from Phoetsoling which was also booked from this cheater company.
The owner of golden vacation Manoj chauddary and his sales executive Shelina are idiots and fooling tourists like us.
Even their travel agent in Bhutan Mr. Abhishek was a fraud and did not booked any hotels nor any cabs.
In phoetsoling our booking was in Hotel Palm. They also cheated us as when we arrived the hotel they told that they have given our booked rooms to other people and canceled our booking.
Even the good reviews given by people here are there own people.
Never ever book the tour from this company or else you will suffer alot as our experience was worst.

The first day immigration formalities were easier because of our local guide in Phuentsholing Mr. Manish. Even the hotels given to us were all very good and decent with special mention of hotel in Phuntsholing (Hotel Palm) and Paro (Hotel Khamsum) which provided us with great rooms and services. Ours was an 8 day trip with my family. The coordination was great from the pick-up until the drop to our airport.
We stayed at Darjeeling for 3 days and the rest at Bhutan. The guides, Vivek and Arju (Read More)n, were well aware of the places, restaurants, shopping complex and everything necessary. They were on-time every time!
The hotels we stayed at were extremely cosy, had great hospitality and amazing food.

It was an excellent experience with Golden Vacation Tours and Travels. In Darjeeling we stayed Hotel Golden Mandala two night and one day. Here the staffs of the hotel was very friendly and polite. Lu (Read More)nch and breakfast was good. I can't explain about the view from the hotel because it is very beautiful. In Gangtok Hotel Golden Star Continental & Spa was very nice. Rooms of the hotel was well decorated clean, and spacious enough with comfortable bed. From room no. 501 you can see an extremely nice view of the nature. It looks so beautiful at night . Here we stayed four night and three days. Reception manager, staff of the Kitchen and room service and very friendly and helpful. Break fast and dinner was enjoyable. During my tour with my family, Mr Rakesh our tour advisor played and important role in making my trip awesome through creating what-app group. He is the man with good qualities of management. I am very thankful to Mr Avnish and Mr Rajendra for my help. Both person went with me to eye specialist when my eye got infection.
Over all experience was excellent. I am also thankful to all drivers during sight seeing .

Booked thru them after good reviews from my friend, may 16 to 25th..talking with their representative monisha das... Who will speak very sweetly when you are in the process of booking, but will not ev (Read More)en care to answer u once u book with them or make final payment, they will not give a damn, especially if u make lot of advance payment or full payment, only Mr Vivek was helpul and listened to our troubles. Monisha das changed hotels at last minute so beware, she gave us one under construction hotel.. Can u believe... Also she promised good rooms since it was honeymoon, she told suite rooms... But they were worst rooms, one room in darjeling was blocked with concrete on all sides. Drivers were very rude n full of attitude. Till morning they dont know which car will come. Just keep calling them. And ms. Monisha das will just cut the call in between if you argue. Better go with better professionals like mmt. Pay slightly more... But avoid the hassles with golden vacations. Not recommended at all.

However, due to budget contraints, you had opted for cheap (Read More)er accommdation and non luxury vehicle. You were aware of the choice you were making. Mixed bag- good drivers, poor communication..
Our tour to Sikkim n Darjeeling went off quite well. But as far as organisational part by Golden Tours is concerned, it was a mixed bag. Most of our drivers were very polite n cooperative, vehicles to (Read More)o were fairly good. But communication skills on the part of the Tour Co-ordinators left a lot to be desired. One Mr Pradeep, specially, was uncontactable most of the time! Mr Shamsher at Darjeeling was a striking contrast- he contacted us well in advance n actually came to see us off before we left.. We had to keep contacting them for info n details about next day's vehicle, driver details n timings. In fact, thanks to their mismanagement, our trip to Tsomgo lake n Baba Mandir were complete ruined. The driver got to know that he had to take us on that day only after we contacted him that morning! The result of the delay was that we didn't reach Baba Mandir at all, n spent barely 5 minutes at Tsomgo lake as the weather suddenly turned bad.. Added to that was the trauma of being stuck in a traffic jam(that seemed to stretch till eternity) in pouring rain on the return journey.. Thanks to the skills of the driver Ajay, we finally made it back to our hotel by 9.30 pm. Full marks to our driver, Mr Wangpo similarly for manouevering us thru' torrential weather conditions n terrible roads on our return journey from Lachung to Gangtok.
As far as hotels were concerned, we were told it was a deluxe package but got standard rooms only in some places. Hotel Fortuna in Lachen was pathetic!

I travel so many places with different tour n travel buti was't face such kind of problem they change our hotels 11o'clock at night while our journey start 8o'clock morning. We saw our changes at bagd (Read More)ogra airport all hotels are worst like crawl accept one in peling. Everyday start with fighting for accommodation,vehicle nobody update us properly.They wants only money not care about tourists problem They also threat us to stop our journey in the middle.I request all trackers please stay away from Golden Vacation much kind of agencies

If you don't want to spoil your vacation and waste your money, please STAY AWAY from them. Initially, they all will sound very sweet and responsive but will make you experience NIGHTMARES once you pay (Read More) the amount and start your trip.
We (family of 8 members) booked a 10 day trip to North- East (Sikkim and Darjeeling) through them after getting their details through tripcrafters.com and finalized the itinerary 2 months in advance for the trip. The hotel details were provided over email as well as through a customer portal which seem quite professional. A whatsapp group was also formed consisting of all the travellers and company's staff few days before trip commencement. We were told that all the hotels booked are with deluxe rooms.
Our challenge and adventure (instead of vacation) started when we landed at Bagdogra Airport. On checking our phones we were shocked to see that they dropped a message late last night before our journey starting day wherein ALL OUR HOTELS WERE CHANGED. On checking their portal, the names were found changed there too. All this was done WITHOUT INFORMING US and taking our consent.
There was no exclusive vehicle provided and daily morning they used to arrange a vehicle from respective LOCAL TAXI STAND without thinking of its condition or quality keeping in view our group size. The drivers were usually rude and uncooperative.
GANGTOK: Hotel Everest Residency/ Mansion. It is situated in a remote corner of the town far away from main centre. Rooms quality was ok but the guests are served food on their terrace and no proper dining arrangement exists. The ladies of our group had to help the cooks to get us the meals and there were no proper timings.
LACHEN: Hotel Ingredient. Situated in a filthy lane, basically a LODGE. Electricity often not available.
LACHUNG: Hotel Lachung Dynasty. NOT A HOTEL BUT AGAIN A LODGE. Shabby and very small rooms without any facility. SPENT ENTIRE STAY THERE WITHOUT ELECTRICITY. Makeshift dining and that too in candlelight.
PELLING: Hotel Sikkim Aurora. Only hotel which was well located and was ok and basic facilities were provided. Rooms were very small. Food was pathetic.
DARJEELING: Hotel Highland Inn. A LODGE located near station but you need to go FAR DOWN in a filthy and slippery lane to reach there. One of us also got injured while reaching there. WORST STAY was here. RUDE and ARGUMENTATIVE STAFF and ILL TASTING FOOD.
Everyday we need to make numerous calls to their personnel to get the details of vehicle and hotels. The greatest of them is Mr. Amit Chandra. He answered our calls only once and ignored all our issues which we faced DAILY. Daily we were informed about a new person who would be our tour coordinator. All these so called coordinators were also least bothered of our needs and were unresponsive. Daily we had to make at least 20 calls to the company's staff starting from early morning till LATE NIGHT.
The last installment was to be paid by us on arrival at Bagdogra Airport and in CASH only. Since our hotels were changed, we withheld that amount and it was our only saviour. After 2 days we were THREATENED by Amit Chandra to pay the remaining amount else they will CANCEL our remaining trip. This is the standard of Golden Vacation which is boasting too much everywhere about its service standards and wide network. Somehow we contacted company MD, Mr. Manoj Choudhary who also did not provide answer as to why our Hotels were changed. Only respite was that due to his personal intervention, our trip remain continued and was the only responsive person. We paid half of our balance payment after his assurance. Other great people in his team were Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Pradeep amd Mr. Ujwal who kept on reminding us of balance payment. We assured to make payment in person at their office in Siliguri which they tried to avoid by giving excuses.

Thank you for the feedback. We truly regret your poor experience. While negotiating, we had offered you a better choice of hotels and Innova. However, due to budget contraints, you had opted for cheap (Read More)er accommdation and non luxury vehicle. You were aware of the choice you were making. even may is peak time in this area and we need to make permit,for sight seen, so vehicle delay is not in our hand as permit is issued by govt authority, We shall nonetheless pass on your feedback to the respective hotels.
Useless tour operator!

We would have given negative rating if option available!
Finally we had finished our tour with very few positive m (Read More)emories and many more negative memories.
The only positive memories are Nathula pass visit, support of Ms. Narbada and Hotel services.
There was lack of communication, lack of coordination, lack of time management from Golden. Transporters never respected valuable time of ours. *Coordinator Rakesh was totally inactive and inefficient on all the days*, he was not aware and was incapable of keeping a track of ours, he had not played his role of a coordinator from day 1, which forces us to coordinate on our own instead of enjoying the tour.
We feel that *Golden was interested only for payment and not for services*. There was a strong follow up for balance payments but never cared for services.
In Darjeeling we missed sunrise as driver came late and the same was informed but nobody from Top(Mr. Manoj) to bottom (Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Shom) cared to respond till today.
In Gangtok, for local site seeing we waited and followed up for transport for almost 2hrs and hence we missed many points to visit.
Golden should understand that tourists donot visit such places to waste their time!
Our group is not happy at all with Golden's services and will never recommend to anybody. We are publishing this on social media in public interest.

booked my trip 3 months in advance for a group of 36 from south tamilnadu. The one who followed me up Naveen and Sanjay left their Job midway, i had to try a dozen different persons to finally findt M (Read More)r Amit Chandra who seemed responsible in attending my file. Then came the day of our trip to North Sikkim, Day 1 was cool. We were contacted by a guy Vishal that day and we were informed to be ready by 10 am in the hotel the next day to leave for Lachen. We were all ready by 9.30 itself, but no sight of anyone to pick us up. we were promised 5 innova and one small car, at 12.30 we are told by the hotel reception that all of us have to go to a taxi stand 2 km away to board our taxis to lachen, so we had to arrange our own taxi to reach the taxi stand. it was almost 1 pm and were shocked to find all tata sumo instead of innova. further the drivers were not arranged stay and they all revolted from taking us to gurudongmar the next day morning. it was a serious nightmare for us all.we were asked to pay them 1500 rs for each vehicle which the tour operator refunded us later as promised though. further the stay in siliguri is a mediocre lodge that further rips your sleep with its rusty water and horrible maintenance. Golden Vacations provide you economical package, no doubt. But for people who have traveled from the southern end of India they ripped us of our pleasure with their miscommunications and poor ground staffs and transport.

Booked trip to Sikkim with them, they are very sweet while you plan, they create a whats app group which sounds so cool, but once the payment is done, they disappear. Worst hotels booked, they have ti (Read More)e up with taxi operators in Sikkim. These taxi operators are not paid by Golden Vacation on time, hence they dont turn up. Everyday we need to follow up with 10 different ppl to get taxi details. Finally escalated to their MD Manoj to get things done. Ankita and Rakesh are pathetic, once the payment is done, all they know is to agrue!

The deal that I got was amazing , I had some issues while finalizing the package with Salina but she handled everything well and it turned out great.
I had a 7 day 6 night trip with great hotels an (Read More)d amazing drivers . Manoj ji kept updating about the drivers for the next destination in the evening or else I called to enquire which is normal .
Although I got a Xylo when I had asked for Innovas for the north Sikkim Trip it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, the driver was an amazing guy and showed us lot of places ❤️.

Honeymoon
Booked my honeymoon package with golden tours. Monisha was very polite and perfect in organizing the trip. Drivers were very friendly. Overall it was an awesome experience. Hotels were so good and sta (Read More)ffs were friendly. We were caught in landslide in Nathula and was to extend our stay in a hotel. Rakesh denied help whereas Monisha helped us to get a good hotel.
One small suggestion : it will be good to give the itenary and hotel deatils 10 days before. So that we can be all set before our journey.

I had a trip to Darjeeling and Gangtok with my family during April 2019. We traveled with Golden Vacation Tours and Travels in a package program made for us. The trip was good. We were picked from and (Read More) dropped back at Bagdogra. We stayed at Hotel Golden Dolma at Darjeeling and Golden Star Continental at Gangtok. All arrangements were very good like stay at hotel, food arrangements at Hotels, local sight seeing, travel between airport etc were well organized. We thank Golden Vacation Tours and Travels team for all arrangements. Special mention about Cab Driver Ashish and Coordinator Rakesh.
Beautiful hasslefree trip
I booked this trip via makemytrip. Bibek was my tour coordinator. I had a very peaceful and an amazing trip with no complications. Vacation for Sikkim and Bhutan
We had 9 days trip to Sikkim and Bhutan and it was managed well. Ofcourse there are some improvements that you need to focus. I will deifintely recommend it anyone.
Things that went well are

2. Tour coordinator Bibek was awesome and managed very well
3. Hotels in Gangtok and Bhutan were excellent
4. Vehicles for most places were good. One inside Bhutan was awesome. Brand new Crysta.
Things to be improved are
1. Vehicle from Bhutan to Darjeeling arrived late by couple of hour. That vehicle and driver were also horrible.Avishek is the coordinator here who should have managed well here.
2. Hotel in Lachen and Lachung are not so good.
Overall great experience and will sure travel again with these guys for Bhutan trip.

Bhutan trip - March 2019
Thanks to Golden Vacations for organizing a wonderful trip. The hotel (Sang Boutique Hotel & spa) was located within the town which made it convenient to roam around Paro in the evening. It was a real (Read More)ly nice hotel with warm and friendly staff who took care of everything. The room was a good one with a balcony overlooking the town. In the morning I got a great view of sunrise over the nearby mountains and at night I could see the National Museum and Rinpung Dzong glowing with its lights. The driver (Tsering) was just awesome. He went the extra step to make sure I was always having a great time. He was always prompt and made sure we stayed on schedule. To me he was the main reason why this trip was so successful. Also thanks to Upasana, Rupa and Bibek and the rest of the Golden Vacations team who answered all my questions and always helped me whenever I asked. I normally don't take the time to write such a long feedback but I wanted to make sure their efforts are acknowledged. Will definitely travel to Bhutan again and try them once more!
Pathetic Service with no ownership
I had booked a 9 days trip to sikkim with Golden vacations ..Had booked almost 1.5 month before my travel dates and paid almost 80% advance before my travel..rest was to be paid on arrival at airport. (Read More)...after reaching airport we were told that a xylo coming with no carrier ..imagine xylo for 6 people with no carrier..how about our luggage..they were telling us to adjust and manage..how to adjust and manage with so much luggage , 6 people and such a huge distance travelling from bagdogra to pelling... after so much of frustration and calls , we got a cab with more than 1 hr of waiting at airport..
so called trip coordinators who take money from you Munna Mehta, Shom ...take no ownership..imagine we had to call company's MD Manoj chaudhary for getting our issues resolved ..
Anyways..it didn't end here..after seeing their pathetic response of service, i told them that i will keep certain amount with me as unpaid till i get my trip over..on which i was told, we will not share any cab details till you make complete payment...Imagine highly insensitive non professional customer service attitude...
Every evening it was a pain to coordinate and keep asking about the next day cab details and driver details..
The hotel which was given to us in Lachen was just pathetic, terrible...
the cab which was given to us for 3days--lachen lachung and return was in such a bad state and so dirty...
Such pathetic service, no ownership..after making a huge payment it was frustrating everyday coordinating and asking for next day details...

The overall trip was amazing! One of the coordinators, Upashna did a great job of answering all our queries throughout and making comfortable arrangements. Our special request of vegetarian preference (Read More) was taken care of. Last minute hiccups because of unavailability of hotel room was handled by booking another hotel in the last minute. All the hotels were upto expectation. The Bhutan travel-guide cum the driver was noteworthy. Gangtok - Darjeeling, Nice Trip
We have taken the trip of 5 days and 6 nights which covered Gangtok and Darjeeling, Pick up and Drop to Bagdogra Airport.
The trip was nicely planned by Subham and Munna, I would like to thank Subh (Read More)am for his quick support and availability throughout the Trip.
Hotels were nice and staff were well behaved and helpful. They can arrange food or items from outside as well on request.Rooms were in good conditions.
The breakfast was so delicious and tasty with many food options in both the hotels, we really enjoyed that and appreciating it.
All the vehicles were in good condition and I must say all the drivers were very nice in Gangtok specially the driver who have taken us to Changu lake route, however we were not allowed to go till Changu lake, Baba mandir and Nathula Pass but it was not in there hand.
Only bad part was that, transport people were not in sync and were not planning things well in advance and sometime i have to call and ask the plan. I was expecting travel executives to call me instead of drivers but that was not happening. Drivers were not good in Darjeeling.
Please do not book Toy Train from Hotel reception as they book it via agent which charge 600 rupees extra which we were not aware before.
Overall it was good trip, thank you.

The worst I ever had in my life. The driver came to pick us up was continuously shouting on us and my kids. Hotel rooms booked was of general category, irrespective of paying for premium suites. Bhutan Package
My friend & I both 70 years old took the Bhutan Package of 6 days from Bagdogra to Phuenchiling ,Thimphu,Paru & panaka from 13th to 18th Feb.To put it in a nutshell it was most disorganised.No one was (Read More) responisble or ready to address our numerous problems ever since we set foot in their landWhen we arrived at Bagdogra airport there was no one to receive us,we waited over 40 minutes in the hot sun while a driver was woken up & sent from 10 Kms away.He drove us all the way to Pheunshlingh to get our Visas.Our hotel stays were very unsatisfactory.The worst thing was we were assured of a good car & driver who would stay from day one to last, instead they were leasing out cars for us as & when we reached a destination.In paru they alloted a room five floors below the street level with winding stairways & no Elevators.On the whole it was a no good ,deal with no care for our comfort or age.

We had been to Bhutan from 16th-22nd december. It was one of the memorable all girls trip.the hotels which the travels have arranged was decent and the car and driver arranged in Bhutan was also good (Read More)enough.talking about improvements area,they need to be bit more organanized.In the sense ,firstly they booked flights and then realized on that particular day when we were supposed to enter Bhutan it was national holiday and there will be no immigration clearance.because of which we will have to waste our 2 days in Darjeeling.there were also certain miscommunication between their agents in Bhutan and the ones in Siliguri.So things like this can be improved upon. Other than that all their agents was very helpful and co-operative.In nutshell, we had a splendid experience in Bhutan.

I had planned trip with them to Sikkim, , and i have alread (Read More)y paid the payment of rupees 5000/- on November. At the first time of booking your agent contact me, and they told me if I need to cancel the trip, then inform us by 3rd December, then you will get 100% the refund.
But unfortunately some of my personal problem i have to cancelled it. And i told your agent on 30th nov. then they told me I will get the money by 10th dec. On 10th dec. I had contact her, she told me by 19th sure i will get it.

Excellent coordination, very good hospitality, on time responses, we never need to wait for driver or coordinator. It all happens as per iteniary. Very accommodative. I had a difficulty of missing Tso (Read More)ngu lake due to heavy snow fall. They arrange it the next day and they went to another city. 0. I had payed for3* Hotels,but the hotels and rooms were third class....rooms conditions were absolutely substandard - beds broken, cockroaches in the rooms , geyser not working, rooms , bedsheets , quilt all stinking, room service not available till 8:00 am
0. Bhutan entry tickets to monuments sight seeing we're committed but were not given, Parking charges also had to payed by us

The total tour bought was miserably handled.Salina, Some and all others are only trouble shooters. Taxi supplied by them and driver's where to go, what is hotels name. Two star hotels booked and you g (Read More)et home stay. Booked vehicle Tuscan with extra charges and wagon R was ready and after fight Creta was given.Bhutan entry tickets to monuments sight seeing we're committed but refused to give. La chung pass in gangtok was not provided. The taxi and drivers were changed at every destination without providing details.
We recommend not to travel even if it's free if you value for time & peace.

Poor planning and horrible service
Went on a 5 day trip to guwahati to enjoy the vacation. But it turned into complete chaos because of the travel agency and their negligence. They werent supportive even during the curfew in shillong. (Read More)They were expecting us to transfer remaining money while there was not ATMs and internet access across the state and we were left stranded on the road. I will never recommend this agency to anyone in my life. Thanks for teaching me a lesson.

We booked North east and Assam trip with Golden vacation Travels.
1) The vehicle they arranged was a average tempo vehicle used for local guwahathi private trips. No A/C or Fan ,No Charging point,n (Read More)o luggage holders beside seats.
2) Drivers did not know English/Hindi , they knew only local language. very difficult to communicate directly to drivers. we wasted most of time in calling travels to covey information to our near hand drivers.
3) Some of the Hotels they arranged (in Guwahathi) were not properly informed about arrival and our requirement. Had to wait long time to check in. inspite we found hotel management's service was good, their tie up with travels was not in good sync.
4) We had to give remaining amount . To get the amount, they stopped vehicle in mid way through mountains, urging to transfer remaining money , where the place had no ATM, No internet service. We had to struggle a lot to convince them in call, that we would get money as soon we get internet or see ATM. Still they wanted money to resume our travel. so we had to give whatever money we had on hand to driver for tour to continue.
5) If we want to see some more site seeing places on way, they argue it is not possible, as vehicle is point to point basis and those places cannot be covered.
6) Though They are professional in business, they should understand Tourists's practical difficulties and value of time.

Pathetic planning and execution. Highly not recommended
If you want to feel frustrated at the end of the trip, please go ahead and choose them.
1. Drivers are taking trips during promised ours to us. This makes us wait and miss certain locations.
2. Ver (Read More)y unprofessional co-ordinators. As soon as you start speaking to them, they say "Dont Argue", " You have to loose some battles" e.t.c. My friend was frustrated talking to them and had to hand over the talking with management part to me.
3. Dont know which places are closed. Most places, he says are closed, after going for 3 to 4 hrs. Travel agencies should be aware of this.
4. Drivers dont come on time and are late, so we have to be late and miss certain spots.
5. Drivers dont clearly speak Hindi. They speak assamise. They know certain words, but very hard to communicate.
6. We had a discussion with the team on whether we could get a hindi speaking guy to also join us, and after discussion, we found the same assamise speaking guy as the driver.
7. Locations covered are good. But that would be good irrespective of whether they take you there.
8. Phulkesh and Parag are the 2 people who communicate with us, there are multiple hierarchies between them and the drivers, with middle man. That any change has to be communicated to multiple people before we can even ask the driver to do something.
Please dont run this travel agency. We are actually wasting away hard earned money on you guys. We really want to get the most out of our trip. Hope no body has to endure this Travel agency.

Due to the situation of hilly area and bad road, we need SUMO or similar vehicle for our comfort for all our tour day. The same has been confirmed by the executive through mail and whats up message. E (Read More)ven after confirmation and several reminders they have provided the small car.
Also during the tour , complained the same through your their Whats Up group, but did not receive any suitable response and they told me that the booking was done for small vehicle.

Our experience was good with golden vacations. They give support throughout the trip at any point of time. I recommend to choose golden vacation if you are going on trip with family and really Don’t w (Read More)ant to plan all the details. They are friendly and soft spoken people. We enjoyed a lot.

Horrendous experience with Golden Vacation Tours and Travels
We booked a tour of Bhutan ( flight , road , stay, siteseeing ) with Golden Vacations.. Worst experience ever with the entire team.. Not at all professional. They dont care about making us wait in (Read More)the airport for more than 90 mins.. Very casual approach.. Commitments like extra bed in the room never honoured. No one has a courtesy to apologise.. They take the travellers for a ride. When confronted, instead of Understanding the issue, the owner Manoj Choudhri supports his own staff.. Requesting everyone never to go with these unprofessional people.. Once we pay the money, we are at their mercy... Got these contacts from holidayiq website.. Never ever to judge a company like these for our next holiday..
Someone has to train them what a customer service is...

Amazing Experience with Golden vacation tours and travels
Our travel and stay in Darjeeling and Sikkim was made very comfortable by the Golden group. The hotel staff and the drivers were all very cooperative and friendly.The hotel rooms were neat and luxury, (Read More) the restaurant served delicious food (can be the best choice for people in search of Pure veg restaurant options) and the cars were well maintained and comfortable. All tourist points were covered in the package and we were able to appreciate the magical beauty of Darjeeling and Sikkim fully.Overall, we had a memorable tour and we do recommend Golden vacation tours and travels to people planning a holiday in the heavenly North-East India.

Excellent had a great time very pleasant experience thanks for all the arrangements. To get Nathula permit we need to give them docs atleast the day prior to the visit. So plan Nathula only on day 2 o (Read More)r later for your trip so we have enough time for permit(mon n Tue Nathula is closed). Narbada from sales team was very polite helpful n approachable. The rooms were too good. Kudos to the team. Only flipside is communication upfront about driver by the tour coordinator would be helpful.
Poor maintenance of vehicles
We booked a 'luxury vehicle' xylo for our sikkim trip on point to point basis (inr 35500) . Vehicle provided to us was in really bad condition with dirt all around, seat belts (back seat) not working (Read More)and a rude driver.
Anyway, thankfully they changed the vehicle and driver next day. I must say our driver Ajay was excellent (very courteous, helpful, friendly, professional, great driver), and we did nt want to change despite another ill maintained vehicle (seat belts on the back x, mobike charger x ) provided.
Finally on our journey back to bagdogra airport, they changed our vehicle at salugara (30km or so from airport) to swift desire which was not sufficient for 4 people + 3 strolleys. Believe me, one of our strolley was tied to the roof without any carrier. Obviously this was not as per contract and despite my request for a parrial refund since there was breach of contract, they didnt do anything.

Very Poor Customer Service - Not recommended for Sikkim
Trip to Gangtok
Only interested in getting 100% advance for the trip and were behind us for the payment. They provided a very poor customer service. Their drivers werent willing to follow the iternary and used to ask (Read More) for additional money. We lost one day of sightseeing as their drivers were not at our hotel. When we asked for taking us to the place next day they asked for additional money.Since they had taken the entire money upfront we were at their mercy. As a result we couldnt see Changu Lake.
I wouldnt recommend them in the future to anyone as they dont treat their customers well. We had to argue a lot with their teams

I took the package from Golden Vacations for Sikkim trip during March 2018. It was excellent travelling with them, starting from pickup at Bagdogra Airport till end everything was fine....All the driv (Read More)ers were very friendly, Golden Staffs were polite and helpful, food and hotel were nice too...It was as I had planned. I would like to especially mention Mr Amit Chanda from Golden Vacations who crafted our package as per our need and was constantly in touch with us throughout our trip checking about our comfort etc. Sikkim was my dream destination and I must thank Amit and Golden Vacations for the amazing trip.

Our group of 6 persons travelled Bhutan from 11.03.2018 to 17.03.2018 through Golden Vacation. Initial 3 nights were OK. We were provided hotel and rooms as per quotation. But later 3 nights at Paro i (Read More)nstead Premium Rooms in 4 star hotel we were offered lowest grade rooms in below 3 star hotel hence we had to go to other hotel namely HOTEL Olathang and pay cash Rs.51620.00 for rooms. I have asked Golden Vacation vide my LETTER DT.20.03.18 and e mail to reemburse the payment which I had to pay to Hotel Olathang. So far I have not received any reply.Receiving at Airport and toure guide was promised but none was there. Toure coordinator did not respond even after our informations. My experience with Golden Vacation is not good.

They are totally unprofessional people. No coordination between Siliguri Office and Thimpu Office. Did not get what was promised. For eight persons six seater vehicle was provided for first two days. Got good service about car.
Max points were covered.
Problem was that no special guide was given.
Driver use to leave us at point and use to tell us to go and see the points.
Driver with us dint k (Read More)new anything about points.
Otherwise properly arranged and time to time arrival of car at hotel.
First 7 days we got Xylo car which was pretty comfortable and other 3 days we got sumo which was not much comfortable. Yet we enjoyed a lot.
Overall good tour.
