About Global Island
Global Island Pvt Ltd was founded in 2021, born out of a passion for creating memorable journeys and a deep-rooted commitment to Sri Lankan hospitality. Though newly incorporated, our story in tourism began long before—with our Managing Director Kuma, who has been designing unforgettable family holidays since 2009 under the trusted brand Elephant Tours.
Today, both Global Island Travel Agency and Elephant Tours work hand-in-hand to offer bespoke travel experiences across Sri Lanka and the Maldives, serving families, groups, and travelers from around the world.

We were a family of 5 including one toddler and 2 senior citizens.Chamil, our travel agent, was very polite and professional throughout the trip. He was diligent in taking all reviews everyday. Kumara, our driver never felt like a third person. Went above and beyond to ensure we had the best of experiences. Provided many valuable insights. We loved our trip to Sri Lanka, which was only possible with Global Island. Chamil was very responsive when I was planning the trip from the U.S.
He was great at communication and made the whole process stress free. We saw and did some much with our time there [6 days]. We wish we even had more time. He assigned us the best guide and driver we could ask for- Mr. Kumara. When our flight changed, (Read More)this company made some adjustments and helped arrange last minute accommodations. Their customer service is beyond 5 stars!!! I highly recommend.

I highly recommend the travel agency that organized our trip to Sri Lanka. From start to finish, the entire experience was incredibly well-organized and seamless. The driver they provided was not only (Read More) excellent at his job but also a pleasure to be around, making our journey even more enjoyable.
What impressed us the most was the meticulous planning that went into every aspect of the trip. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of, ensuring a smooth and stress-free vacation. Moreover, the travel agent who assisted us was attentive and responsive throughout the journey. They handled any issues that arose with professionalism and efficiency, leaving us with great memories of our time in Sri Lanka.

I contacted Kuma at Global Island from the UK to ask if he could arrange transport for our holiday around Sri Lanka. He was amazing. He provided us with a lovely, English speaking driver who was also (Read More)an experienced and knowledgeable guide. He picked us up from the airport and drove us around to all the destinations and hotels we had booked. In addition he made excellent suggestions of places we should go that we hadn’t thought of and he stayed in accommodation nearby to ours so he was ‘on call’ for the whole of our holiday. The vehicle was very comfortable and he even arranged some birthday surprises for our daughter. Communication with Kuma was very easy and efficient. I would highly recommend this company.
