Prawirotaman, Yogyakarta Overview
Prawirotaman is the second tourist quarter, two kilometres south of Malioboro and a different proposition: guesthouses in converted batik-merchant homes, coffee bars, and a night market along the street itself. People stay here when they want Jogja at walking pace instead of Malioboro's crowds and traffic. It works better as a base or an evening out than as a sightseeing stop.
