Orchidarium, Yercaud Overview
Orchidarium, also called the National Orchidarium, is spread over 18 hectares in Yercaud and was established in 1963. It houses around 3,000 trees and 1,800 shrubs, and is one of the most visited spots in the area.
It is also known as Orchidarium, it has a huge and diverse collection of orchids. Other than several other species of exotic and rare plants, it is also home to the rare Kurinji flower that blooms once in every twelve years. The garden has been divided into several sections, some of which are bonsai garden, foliage garden, topiary garden, rock garden, water garden, herbal garden, sensory garden and more.
