Mekong Riverside Park

The Mekong Riverside Park is a green park located along the Mekong River in the capital city of Vientiane in Laos. It is one of the best places in the city to watch the sunset over the river as you get excellent views of the skyline. The park is one of the famous landmarks for locals who hang out on weekends and holidays. You can see many cyclists, joggers, skaters, street artists and musicians in the evenings. It is worth visiting for tourists in Vientiane to enjoy an evening here along the river feeling the cool breeze. There is a statue of the King of Laos and a small pool in the park. It is also close to Vientiane night market, which happens on the road parallel to this park, along the promenade. There are many stalls on the street for food and drinks. These food stalls are set up in the park area every evening after sunset. Most people spend the night in the park picnicking having dinner and drinks after watching the sunset.
