After her husband, Brett Whiteley passed away, Wendy began working on a garden to cope with her loss which eventually became the secret garden. The garden is filled with native and exotic trees and plants, which eventually became home to a wide variety of birds. The garden, filled with lush greenery, is a scenic spot suited for picnics with loved ones and an escape from the city's noise for great relaxation. It also serves as a stunning spot for harbour views and has beautiful trails for peaceful walks around the garden. The garden also provides spaces for all kinds of events.
