Udaipur, Spiti Valley Overview
Udaipur, on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River, is a remote hamlet. It sits at an altitude of 2,743 metres and is a popular pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Surrounded by lush green forests and scenic landscapes, Udaipur is also a well known camping and trekking spot. It was earlier known as Markul, but is now named after Raja Udai Singh of Chamba.
