Some 180 km away from Kolkata on the Kolkata-Digha route is situated a largely unknown beach resort which is slowly making its way gathering popularity amongst travelers. Air: Nearest airport is at Kolkata which is well connected by road to Mandarmani.
Rail: Nearest rail head is at Contai which is well-connected to Mandarmani. One can easily hire a taxi or auto rickshaw till Mandarmani
Road: The Kolkata-Digha route leads to Mandarmani, passing through Kolahat and Nandakumar. From Kolkata, you need to first reach Chawalkhola, from where you need to travel on narrow village roads for some 11 km more till you reach Mandarmani. The village roads are mostly mud roads. The entire drive takes around 3-4 hours.
There are also several buses plying on this route regularly between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
