Best time to visit Mandarmani Beach

The best time to visit Mandarmani is during the winters from November till February. While the weather is pleasant, the humidity levels have also receded by this time of the year. Light clothes and minimal footwear shall be the order of the day.

How to Reach Mandarmani Beach

The most convenient way of reaching Mandarmani Beach is to travel by road. However, there are restrictions on private cars driving across the beach. A paved road has been built behind the beach allowing tourists to reach their hotels through the backside.

  • Air: Nearest airport is at Kolkata which is well connected by road to Mandarmani.

  • Rail: Nearest rail head is at Contai which is well-connected to Mandarmani. One can easily hire a taxi or auto rickshaw till Mandarmani

  • Road: The Kolkata-Digha route leads to Mandarmani, passing through Kolahat and Nandakumar. From Kolkata, you need to first reach Chawalkhola, from where you need to travel on narrow village roads for some 11 km more till you reach Mandarmani. The village roads are mostly mud roads. The entire drive takes around 3-4 hours. 

    There are also several buses plying on this route regularly between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
