The Digha Beach is another stunning beach about 14 km from Shankarpur. The beach is equally beautiful and clean and arguably offers the most beautiful sunset view in all of West Bengal.
It is also known as Golden Beach because of its beautiful golden sands and breath taking sunset views. It is believed that Warren Hastings, the first Governor General of India, was so smitten by its beauty that he used to come here as often as he could.
