It is the second hill station in the state after Saputara and also higher in elevation than the former. A day's trip to Don is enough to capture the rich bio-diversity of the hill station. The local population celebrates Don Mahautsav every year which also attracts tourists at large. Usually celebrated in February, the festival involves tribal songs and dances by the Adivasi population of the village, dressed in vibrant and colourful clothes.

So consider staying in Saputara and visit Don only for a day's trip.
