Sanasar is the aero-adventure-sports capital of the Jammu. Sanasar is a sports-adventurists' paradise as one gets an avenue for learning and practising paragliding and hot air ballooning.
Paragliding is one of the most famous adventures in Sanasar. At Sanasar, you will find mostly 'Tandem Hand-gliders' which are meant to carry both the pilot and a passenger at once. The J&K TDC will train you in the same. Paragliding is an activity that will give you the privilege of witnessing a breathtaking aerial view of the region.
Hot air ballooning is another trend among the tourists. It’s a recreational sport where one gets to enjoy an aerial view of the area being traversed. It is an ideal sport for photographers for taking some beautiful shots of the mesmerising meadows.
One can also enjoy horse riding amidst the hilly regions.

Sanasar can be explored in one day. In the morning, you can go for paragliding followed by hot air ballooning. You can then visit the two lakes after which the area was named. You can try horse riding towards the afternoon. You can then visit the Shank Pal temple and Nag temple.

In the evening don’t forget to try shopping in the local market and try some delicious traditional cuisine. If you want to go for trekking and rock climbing, it is advisable if you stay for one more day and do all of that on that day along with a small visit to the golf course.

Like this, you will get more time to soak in the beauty of Sanasar. It is a little place, and you can travel to nearby places on foot and also in a taxi, and the weather is pleasant all year round, and hence you can explore the region throughout the day without feeling tired.
