Velocity Valley, Rotorua Overview

With its six unique and thrilling rides, New Zealand’s adventure attraction, Velocity Valley, is unlike any other adventure park. With adrenaline-pumping through and trips which give out the chills, this park is the hotspot for extreme sports seekers and has the world’s only Shweeb Racer - human-powered racing pods hanging down a monorail track, in its exhibit.

The ideal spot for adrenaline junkies and adventure seekers, Velocity Valley in Rotorua, New Zealand, offers six thrilling rides for visitors. Formerly the Agroventures Adventure Park, this place boasts of the world's first and only the Shweeb Racer, Agrojet, Rotorua Bungy, Freefall Xtreme, and Swoop and Freestyle Airbag. The Agrojet claims the world's first-ever commercial jet sprint tag and completes three laps around the park track through different routes. It is a treat for the hydrophilic as the ride sends water splashing with the boat's spinning.

Multi Ride Packages:
1. Great Taste Tester with two pass for select rides from Swoop, Shweeb Racer, Freefall Xtreme and Agrojet - NZD 42.50 per ride
2. Most Popular Package with four pass for four select rides from Swoop, Shweeb Racer, Freefall Xtreme and Agrojet - NZD 32.25 per ride
3. Ultimate Adrenaline Package (VIP Package) with all rides available - NZD 32.25 per ride, excluding the Bungy which is for NZD 90.

Family Packages:
This package is available in the form of 6, 8 and 10 rides shared between the family at NZD 31.50, NZD 27.38 and NZD 24.90 per ride. The select rides include - Swoop, Shweeb Racer, Freefall Xtreme and Agrojet.

Things to Do

The Rotorua Bungy
The Rotorua Bungy is the 43-metre leap activity of the park which gives out a huge adrenaline kick to ‘the leap of faith’ takers.
Freefall Xtreme
A windy addition to the rides, the Freefall Xtreme is a skydiving simulation which blows the person into the air.
Superhuman Swing
Dubbed as the ‘Superhuman Swing’, the Swoop hoists you high into the sky and back down in a matter of thrilling seconds. While the Freestyle Airbag is the perfect activity for the riders, who wish to hit the ramps and throw some tricks into the air. This ride has three levels – beginner, intermediate and advance, which range from learners to professionals.
Shweeb Racer
An exclusive to the Velocity Valley, the Shweeb Racer activity includes racer pods hanging down from a circular monorail track where one has to cycle while lying down. It first opened in 2007 and has since been the unique attraction of this park.
Along with the adrenaline, there are several other requirements such as minimum or maximum racers and minimum height to be met if you want to enjoy the rides here.

How To Reach Velocity Valley

Velocity Valley offers free shuttle service on demand to the central Rotorua locations. Bookings are however to be made before. The park is about 8-10 minute drive away from the Rotorua CBD, for those who prefer to take their cars.
