The next day you can probably relax by river Hooghly, enjoy a boat ride or a jetty ride and leave on sunset.

The airport is very well connected with flights from all across India and abroad. The nearest railway station is Howrah train station. It is also very well connected by roadways.

Quite understandably, though Raichak does not give you the luxury of direct incoming flights, it does give you the option to fly down to the nearby Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and hire a cab or a bus to drive you to Raichak in just over an hour.

Stayed at the Ganga Kutir here. Beautiful place. The F Fort resort has some nice restaurants and good set of activities. Ideal for a 1-2 day trip from Kolkata. Getting there is a pain though. The roa (Read More)d from Kolkata to raichak is narrow and crowded. Not a pleasant drive.
