Gokulam, Puttaparthi Overview

Gokulam is the dairy of the ashram which supplies milk and other dairy products to all the institutions working under the ashram. The dairy is popular for the supreme quality of milk that it produces. The source for milk for the dairy is another dairy which is situated in Vidyagiri. The entrance of the dairy has an idol of Lord Krishna. The face of Lord Krishna has certain beautiful artistic touches to it given to it by Sathya Sai Baba.

Sathya Sai Baba was a divine soul who appeared on the face of the earth with some supreme powers which he realized when he was 14 years old. He was considered to be an incarnation of Sai Baba and was a famous spiritual guide of the 20th century.

Birthplace of Sathya Sai Baba is now the place where Shiva Temple stands. Since people are not sure of his birthplace which is believed to be somewhere across the river, it is visited by tourists to get a sense of peace and serenity.
