Ban Jabo Viewpoint, Pai Overview

Ban Jabo is a Black Lahu tribal village in Pai known for its spectacular views. The viewpoint is accessed through a rustic, old-school cafe, Guaytiew Chom View, that sells boat noodles for THB 35. They offer floor-seating where you can dangle your legs over an edge, set your bowl of noodles down on the railing that doubles as a table, and enjoy the lush greenery stretching ahead for miles.

The village itself is worth exploring as well. The people here live, dress, and eat traditionally and their lifestyle is apparent in the social fabric of the village. Old wooden houses, wandering farm animals, a cafe, and small shops selling necessities and souvenirs make up the village. You can book homestays for THB 100. You can enjoy scenic vistas of the valley from many of these accommodations as well.
