The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle Overview

Located on Stoddart Street, the Biscuit Factory is an art gallery showcasing and selling original handmade prints, ceramics, textiles, photography, furniture, design-led homewares and jewellery, and exquisite paintings, providing a platform for over 250 artists and their artistic brilliance.

The arthouse also works with national agencies and initiatives such as the Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums and the New Light Art Prize to further their cause and make art accessible and affordable for all. Welcoming over 50,000 visitors annually, they also boast of an independent in-house cafe, The Factory Kitchen, with its own rooftop terrace. Their food presentation and bacon and eggs are perhaps the daftest that one ought to taste for themselves. The business also boasts of quite a few exquisite hireable spaces including a purpose-built function suite The Biscuit Room and a design-led space Artisan. The arthouse was founded in 2002 after a sympathetic renovation which made sure that the character traits of the building such as the brickwork and beams were kept untouched.
