Nagarjunasagar Dam/Waterfall, Nagarjunakonda Overview

Built between the years 1955-1967, it is the largest masonry dam in the world. It lies on the Krishna River and shares its banks with Guntur and Nalgonda districts.

It supplies irrigation water to the nearby towns. Apart from it's scenic beauty, there are also boating facilities that take you along the stretch of the dam and witness the waterfall. Nagarjunakonda island lies in the middle of the dam.
