What's Not Good: Considering we had 7 kids travelling with 4 couples (Read More), the stay was far from the main centre leading to too much of traveling. It was exhausting. Additionally, we had to keep coordinating with the driver for the itinerary and the vehicle provided wasn't superior. Overall it wasn't value for money since we spent close to 65k per couple for 3 days in Coorg

Must-Know Travel Essentials
Given that Mysore has long been the home of Maharajas, there are a few palaces for you to visit! The Mysore Palace is undoubtedly the city’s main attraction. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, it’s the official residence of the royal family of Mysore. It is open every day from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm and is also known for the light and sound show organised from 7:00 pm onwards.
You must also visit the Jaganmohan Palace to see its paintings of past kings and the Lalitha Mahal Palace. Mysore tour packages include its beautiful gardens like the Brindavan Gardens, admired for its flowers, light and music fountain shows and boating facilities. You would enjoy a walk through Shuka Vana, home to over 2,000 birds and a visit to Bonsai Garden, which has hundreds of species of bonsai trees.

You can spend about 1 to 2 days here. Hotels, hostels, inns and guesthouses offer accommodation.
Mysore is usually visited as a day trip from Bangalore. The state’s capital, Bangalore is renowned for its beautiful gardens and parks like Lalbagh, Cubbon Park and Lumbini Gardens.
