Located in the Cala Major district, it's an exceptional combination of museum and authentic creativity. Miro Mallorca Foundation is a museum of modern art established to honor Joan Miro. The architecture of the building is stunning and was designed by Pritzker prize winner and Spanish architect Rafael Moneo.
This museum is located close to Palma, where the artist lived from 1956 to 1983. The collection includes 7000 artworks, including paintings, drawings, prints, and important document collections. This place also houses several sculptures of Miro, which can be admired in the garden. The sculpture garden provides a serene environment, and it is believed to reflect his son's house. His paintings are majorly made from his childhood memories because he spent most of his days in Barcelona, whereas his mother and wife were from Mallorca thus he longed to return to his childhood days.
