Named after a Liverpool industrialist Henry Tate, the Tate gallery is the subsidiary of famous Tate gallery in London. Like its London counterpart, this one also has an amazing collection of classical and contemporary art. It is regarded as the foremost art gallery in Northern England and a lot of exhibitions are held here throughout the year.
The Tate gallery in Liverpool is home to the national collection of modern art in the north. It is located on the Albert Dock and is within a short walking distance from the centre of the city. It is one of the most visited galleries outside London. The gallery has a lot of special exhibitions all throughout the year and that brings together lot of artworks from around the world. Famous artists whose works have been exhibited here in the recent times include Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt and Rene Magritte.
