The Chinatown is located in the Liverpool city center and is home to the oldest Chinese society in Europe. It boasts several traditional Chinese restaurants and Buddhist temples as well. Chinatown is one of the oldest and largest parts of the city's cultural heritage.

The place has gradually evolved into a culturally and traditionally rich tourist destination that attracts visitors to experience its authentic Chinese food and rich architecture.
Visitors come across the biggest arch located on Nelson Street, upon the entrance of Chinatown. The streets are decorated with Chinese lanterns and the signs and instructions are usually written in Chinese and English. The first existence of Chinese people in Liverpool dates back to 1834 who came for trade. The biggest highlight is the annual Chinese New Year celebrations full of traditional Chinese music, dance and food which attracts tourists all across the world.
