Pantai Batu Hitam is located about 10 kilometers from Kuantan, the capital city of Pahang. Batu Hitam is the Malay name for Black Rock Beach, which, as the name suggests, is formed out of fair, white sands and black volcanic rocks.

How to Reach Batu Hitam

Since Pantai Batu Hitam is located only 10 hours from the main city, it is well connected to the roadways and public transit systems.

Bus: Taking a bus to the destination is probably the most convenient and economic means to commute. The RapidKuantan buses depart from the Terminal Kuantan Sentral after regular intervals and the bus ride takes about 35 minutes to complete the journey. The tickets for the one way bus trip should cost no more than RM 2.

Car: The second best option is to drive all the way up to Pantai Batu Hitam in your personal vehicle or hire a taxi. The roads are very smooth and well connected making the drive very comfortable. The road trip should take about 45 minutes to an hour to complete.
