Pine Forest, Kodaikanal Overview

Situated in the southwest of Kodaikanal, Pine Forest is one of the most famous tourist spots in the city. Pine trees, in addition to Shola and Eucalyptus trees, are found in abundance in many parts of Kodaikanal. However, only two sites have become popular as a tourist destination amongst the travellers namely Pine Forest- 1 and Pine Forest-2.

Pine Forest 1 
Situated on the road near the Solar Observatory, the pine forest is crowded with tourists flocking here to enjoy the place. There are also numerous local vendors selling fresh carrots and fruits who can be spotted right at the entrance of the forest.

Pine Forest 2 
Situated near the Moir Point, the Pine Forest 2 does not remain crowded like Pine Forest 1. Vendors are usually hard to spot in this forest. Also, some horse riding options are available here which is why this place appears much more attractive than Pine Forest 1.
