Guests who book the bungalow have access to the whole of the bungalow and its premises including the huge lawns, swing, gazebo and multiple fireplaces. The bungalow itself consists of three bedrooms on the upper floor apart from a living room, a dining room and a family room facing the front and back lawns. This floor also includes a large kitchen and a utility room which can be accessed by a separate entrance. The constantly smoking chimney gives the bungalow a rustic appeal, setting it apart from every other property in the hills of Kodaikanal. The chimney is kept alive by a continuously heated wooden foyer maintained in immaculate condition. Floors made of pine-wood, wooden ceilings and cabinets and the exposed brick walls combine together to add to the chalet-like appeal of the bungalow.
The ground floor comprises of two staff quarters with attached bathrooms and a garage, accessed externally. This completes the layout of the main structure of the property. But now let's come to the most exciting part of the property, the garden and the lawn. The front of the property has a terraced lawn and at the back of it rests an impeccably manicured garden. Both of these provide a wide range of bursting colours combining to form a truly phenomenal sight for the eyes. The garden is huge and has a number of things. In addition to manicured hedges, the small fish pond and the charming stone walkways, the back garden also includes a spacious gazebo equipped with a fireplace, perfect for outdoor breakfasts as the mist begins to lift over the hills in the distance. Also, the fireplace forms an excellent bonfire-type setting to indulge in with your travel partners come night! There's a built-in swing seat covered by rose creepers if you just feel like lazing away. There's also a sunny greenhouse, perfect for the amateur gardener to brush up on his gardening skills. The hosts have also won various awards in several local flower shows. The garden is one of the best you'll ever witness.
The owners of the place do not permanently reside in Kodaikanal. Their caretaker Natraj and his family will be taking care of the place and those who visit it. The owners, however, can be reached by phone anytime. There are 6 beds in the bungalow accommodating a total of 12 people.
