Saklikent Canyon, Kas Overview
Saklikent Canyon, the "hidden city", lies in Saklikent National Park in the Seydikemer district of Muğla Province. At 18 km long and 300 m deep it is the longest canyon in Turkey and among the deepest anywhere. Two walking trails of differing difficulty run through it, past natural mud pools, with the Gizlikent waterfall close by.
The geography of the canyon makes it possible to explore the entire length only with advanced expertise and professional equipment. Some parts of the famous landmark are not even accessible before April. The national park itself is conveniently accessible by renting a car or via dolmus bus from Fethiye which costs around $3-$5.
