Kokoye Beach

Located on the south coast of Haiti, Kokoye Beach is one of the most exotic places in the Caribbean. The beach is encircled by tall palm trees and is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and evening walks. For convenience, it also has locker rooms and shower rooms. Kokoye beach is also one of the best places for camping. You can rent tents on the beach.

The rocky eastern end of the beach has multiple pools to explore around. Some caves are completely dark inside, while others open to a world of colourful fishes. There are rocky outcrops on each side of the beach, and in between stands the still blue water. The water here is almost wave-free, perfect for relaxing for a longer time. It is easy to reach the Kokoye beach by car from Port-au-Prince, crossing the village of Petit Goave onwards. Get on a  boat ride from Port-au-Prince, reach Petit Goave in 45 mins, and then reach the beach via car or motorcycle. Do not forget to relish some fresh fish, lamb, or lobster recipes on the beach accompanied by local drinks. Haitian coffee is a must-try.
