This wildlife sanctuary is most famous for conserving Asiatic Lions which are amongst the endangered species. Reptiles such as monitor lizards, cobra, vipers, kraits and pythons are most commonly spotted. A large number of myriad birds are also inhabitants of this wildlife sanctuary and also a lot of birds migrate here. Some of them include Lesser Florican, bayaweaver, babbler, tree pie, lapwing and king vulture. The wildlife sanctuary is replete with verdant trees which are full of colourful blooming flowers. Some of the trees that you must see include kardhai, gurjan, khair and kahua.

Wildlife Safari at Kuno-Palpur

In Kuno-Palpur Wildlife Sanctuary you can either explore the dense forest by taking your own car, condition being it should not be older than 5 years, or indulge in a jungle safari which is organized by the wildlife sanctuary. The jungle safari takes place two times in a day, once in the morning from 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM and other in the evening from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. These safari are amazing and it will let you explore the wildlife sanctuary to the fullest.
